Kristin currently lives in the Austin area. She was born in Canyon, Texas & grew up in the Texas Panhandle. She has lived all over the great state of Texas her entire life. She states, “Both of my parents loved creating and some of my favorite memories as a child are the projects they would create together and most often to give away to brighten the lives of others. My faith in God and connection to family are foundational influences in my art.” Kristin started working with metal in high school in the late 1980’s. In college she studied artistic metalworking within her education degree and has loved it ever since! Kristin served as a teacher and administrator in public education for 17 years always creating in her free time. After several moves and an opportunity to focus on family- it has been a wonderful gift to have metalworking back in her front view and focus since 2018. Kristin learned as an apprentice of a master jeweler for several years honing her skills in the world of fine jewelry. Now, Kristin works the metal and various medias full-time creating her own designs and enjoying the journey each project provides. She uses mixed metals and various media to create art and jewelry. Her art & jewelry is available to a range of personal clients all over the world and a growing number of galleries in the USA.
